Wind and Sea Estate in Big Sur

Wind and Sea estate is a private residence located at 54722 Highway 1, on the cliffs of Big Sur. Offering stunning ocean views and a unique setting for a wedding. The estate features a Cliffside ceremony area. A spacious lawn area, a deck for dancing, and a grand terrace. There’s also an indoor dining room with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the ocean. The indoor dining view is spectacular but seating is limited, I would say no more than thirty guests. The elements can be a factor, having the option for your older guests to be seated inside is a plus.
Dramatic Setting
The Cliffside ceremony site is one of the most dramatic settings I have ever worked at as a DJ. If you are a fan of the ocean and want to make a statement, this is it. The dancing area is large enough for no more than about 50 people at a time, but at a unique location like Wind and Sea you will have guests spread out on the grounds enjoying the music and just looking at the incredible view. The set up requires the DJ to have the ability to wirelessly place speakers on the upstairs outside deck, lower ceremony area, dance area, as well as the separate lawn area.
The estate states it can accommodate up to 200 guests and offers overnight accommodations for up to 12 guests in the main house. Realistically I would recommend no more than 100 guests. I must mention there are about 60 rustic wood and stone steps coming down into the venue. It is in no way wheelchair accessible.
Parking at Wind and Sea is very limited and you must arrange for shuttle transportation for your guests. There is enough parking on site however for about six vendor vehicles.
It’s important to note that planning a wedding at Wind and Sea estate can be quite expensive, And availability may be limited due to its popularity and exclusivity. It’s recommended that couples book well in advance to secure their desired wedding date and time.
